2010 WMSC Membership and Safety Rules

The following safety rules and regulations have been developed to ensure that WMSC is always a safe facility
and functions in a manner that is most beneficial to all it’s members. Please familiarize yourself, your family and
your guest with each rule.

The WMSC normal hours of operation will be Monday 10:30-8:30, Tuesday-Closed, Wednesday 10:30-8:30,
Thursday  10:30-8:30, Friday 10:30-9:00, Saturday 10:30-8:30 and Sunday 12:00-6:00 pm.

1. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are prohibited from WMSC.

2. All members and their guests must register separately at the registration window when entering the club.
All guests must be accompanied by a member at all times and a $5 per person guest fee will be collected
before entering the pool. Under normal circumstances each WMSC family will be limited to two guests per
day. Each WMSC guest will be limited to one visit during a seven day period.  Grandparents may accompany
family members at no charge. (Failure to properly register guests will result in a double guest fee charge of
$10 per person or denied admittance.)

3.  All pool parties must be scheduled in advance with the Aquatics Director or Club Manager. (certain time,
attendance restrictions and fees will apply. (See the web site for complete pool party guidelines)
Pre-approval is needed for all functions with over 2 guests.

4. All non-swimmers are restricted to the shallow end of the pool. Non-swimmers who cannot stand in the
shallow end will need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult swimmer.

5.Only non-swimmers ages (5) and under may use the wading pool. Each non-swimmer ages (5) and under
must be accompanied and strictly supervised by an adult at all times. No cloth or regular diapers are allowed
in either pool. Any child who is not potty trained must be outfitted with
“swimming-type” diapers or they will not be allowed to enter either if the pools.

6. All children under the age of (9) must be accompanied by a parent or another responsible adult.

7. All patrons are restricted from bringing seeded or shelled food items.(sunflower seeds - watermelon).

8. No one will be permitted to use the pool if they have any illness of the skin, eyes, nose or throat.

9. Proper bathing attire must be worn by all swimmers. ( cut-offs/gym shorts are not allowed)

10. Food, bottles, glassware are prohibited in and around the pools. (concession and other food items may
be eaten at the covered pavilions or in the picnic areas. ) No food or drink is allowed in the restrooms.

11. Running or rough play in the pool area is prohibited.

12. Diving from the sides of the pool in depths of less than six feet is not be allowed.

13. Slide and diving board users must adhere to all the posted slide and diving board safety guidelines.

14. No recreational swimming or flotation devices are allowed in the slide splash area or the diving well when
in use.  

15. WMSC members and guest are required to be well behaved and use appropriate language at all times.

16. All radios, CD players, etc. may only be used with headsets.

17. Dogs and other pets are not permitted on WMSC grounds, whether leashed or otherwise.

18. Furniture , fixtures or any property belonging to WMSC shall not be removed from the club without written
permission from the Aquatics Director. Any such property broken, damaged or unreturned property shall be
charge at replacement cost to the member.

19. WMSC is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen items belonging to any member or guest while
on WMSC property. (Please remember to lock your car doors.)

20. Arrangements for swim lessons must be made through the Aquatics Director. (Lessons are available for
members and non-members.)

21.All functions are and activities will be under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director or his/her
assistant, one of whom shall be on duty at all times.

22.Members are responsible for the actions and behavior of their guests.

23. If a check, negotiated at WMSC should be returned, a $10 fee will apply.

24. The lifeguards are directed to enforce all the above rules and regulations. Repeated violations by
members or their guests may result in temporary suspension or membership expulsion from the club.
Please cooperate with the lifeguards and staff as they are here for the safety and well-being of all WMSC
members and their guests.

25. Concerns or complaints on any matter should be done so in writing to the Aquatics Director.

 Pool Slide Rules


1. All users must be capable swimmers. (the entry is 5’ deep)

2. Minimum age is 6 years old or a height is 44 “ tall.

3. Only one person is allowed in the tower or to slide at a time. (No holding of small children is allowed.)

4. All users must slide feet first. (Cross feet and arms)

5. No recreational swimming is allowed in the splash area. All users must exit the splash area promptly
after sliding.

6. Users are to start only after splash area has been cleared.

7. No head first entry, standing, kneeling, tumbling, spinning or stopping while riding in the flume.

8. No jewelry, medal zippers on clothing or flotation devices of any kind are allowed.

9. Maximum weight is 280 lbs.

10. Not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with back/neck problems.


*Failure to follow pool slide rules could result in injury and your restriction from slide usage.
